Jeremy, thats very true about the slum (popularly known as BANGLA) where i have been working since January 2010. We have been implementing a broiler chicken project there which is doing very well despite obvious challenges. Am confident to say that this is a first one of its kind, since most of projects directed towards this areas are HIV, nutrition, health, water and sanitation based. But this is about livelihood establishment. Maybe you can drop me an e-mail and we can share information on what opportunities present, and threats too. We cannot serve the whole populace, but through sharing of relevant information and parnerships, the whole populace can be served by us! Cheers once again.

Great entry, Jeremy! You have given us reality and the greater promise of what hope is doing as it rises among the people, even through the work of Action Ministry there in Mombassa.....a work that should be supported!
